The story of TanGenta

The story of TanGenta

Every place has its story. Ours began five years ago — with a dream, a lot of love, and the wish to create not just a guesthouse, but a home where everyone feels welcome.

Choosing the name took us the longest. We wanted it to carry the meaning of everything we put into this place — the love of nature, respect for handcraft, friendship, family warmth, and the calm you find far from the noise of everyday life.

And so TanGenta was born.

Besides combining the beginnings of our names — Tanya and Genadiy — the word "tangent" means a line that touches. For us it's a symbol of meeting — between people and nature, between quiet and comfort, between host and guest.

TanGenta guesthouse sits in the charming village of Oreshak, right next to Troyan Monastery and just about 50 metres from the Cherni Osam river. Here you'll hear the murmur of the river, feel the freshness of the Balkan, and discover a calm that stays with you long after the holiday ends.

Every detail in the house is made with care. The furniture and the wrought-iron elements are handcrafted by Genadiy — a master who put into them not only his skill, but a piece of himself. That's why TanGenta has a character all its own — authentic, warm and true.

Today our greatest reward is the guests who return. Because we believe the best places aren't the ones we simply visit, but the ones we long to come back to.

Welcome to TanGenta!

Let this be your tangent with the beauty of Oreshak, the murmur of the Cherni Osam river, the majesty of the Balkan, and the warmth of a true home.
