Pleven Hut

Pleven Hut sits high in the Central Balkan, among open meadows and sweeping views of the main Stara Planina ridge. It's a favourite stop for hikers and a gateway to some of the most beautiful peaks in Bulgaria.

From the hut, trails lead towards Botev Peak — the highest in the Stara Planina — as well as to neighbouring huts and shelters. The area is known for its alpine pastures, grazing herds and breathtaking sunrises above the clouds.

The climb is for prepared hikers, but even the view from around the hut is worth the effort. We'll gladly advise you on a suitable route and season.
